My company has a brand new website

Yup, starting today, Transcent has a new website:

    Sorry, I’m not liking it. It feels too much like Vista meets Inet, and that gives the full thing a rather “been there, done that” feeling.

    On the other hand, it’s good to see that the website is coded, pretty decent, altho there are some divs that didn’t need to be there. I like the general idea of the website; but it misses the finishing touch.

    But, hey, i’m way too critical. A regular visitor will be impressed by this website.

    The Vista look is totally called for, due to several different reasons, most of them having to do with my collaboration with Microsoft. For instance, I’ll be in charge with the Microsoft IT Professionals community in the region. Also, we’ll be using Silverlight, not Flash, for some of the features we intend to add to it (the site is built using ASP.NET 3.5).

    So, bottom line, the glassy Vista look was intentional. The site itself is not finished yet, this was just the first release that could be made “public” – because we needed to have something up there. Anything. And I’m pretty satisfied with what it has come to for now…

    Anyway, thanks for the heads up. ;)
