Going to TechEd-Developers in Barcelona

As I already mentioned in a previous post, I’ve received an invitation and will be attending the TechEd-Developers sessions in Barcelona next month, along with 6 other Microsoft Student Partners from Romania. As far as we know, there will be more than 200 Student Partners, Imagine Cup Students, Lecturers and ADEs attending this year’s edition of Tech.Ed Developers. Apparently, there will even be a private Student Partners event on November 9th. Sounds exciting!

There is also a blogging competition taking place, which requires us (Microsoft Student Partners) to have our blog listed in the Academics Section on the Virtual Side, and to post content and pictures about our experiences there in our personal blogs. At the time of this post, I had already submitted my blog, but it wasn’t listed yet. I’ll also look forward to seeing Ciprian Jichici there, since he will be holding two sessions at TechEd:

  • OFF203 – Excel Reloaded: Spreadsheets in the Business Intelligence (BI) Services World
  • OFF307 – Building a Business Intelligence (BI) Hub with Office SharePoint Server 2007

I’ll come back with another post on this topic before actually leaving for Barcelona if any new information comes up. :)

Microsoft Days in Cluj-Napoca (oct 2006)

Deschiderea MAP UBB 2006The first two days of next week are going to be pretty interesting ones. First of all, we’ll have this year’s opening of the Microsoft Academic Program in our University. That’s going to be next Monday (October 9th), so that we can have Ciprian Jichici come join us at the event (since he’ll be in town at that time).

Then, there’s this autumn’s edition of the Microsoft Days, with the MSDN and TechNet Briefings coming to Cluj-Napoca on October 9th and 10th. So, if you’re interested (this is for the people living here in Cluj or anywhere nearby), you can subscribe for the events online.

And on a different note, since we’re speaking of Microsoft events, I’ve recently been invited to attend the TechEd: Developers sessions in Barcelona this November, along with 6 other Microsoft Student Partners here in Romania. But I’ll probably get to that much later, somewhere around the departure date (November 8th).
